This family-owned outdoor furniture company helps clients create their dream living spaces.

Dustin Knapp is a sociable person. Anyone who has come into contact with him or seen his video clips on the Wickertree website, BC’s largest selection of quality patio and patio furniture and accessories, will notice his passion for communication.
As the company’s CEO, Knapp has access to past, present and future clients to not only share their vision for the family business, but hear what they have to say about their dreams and future. expect.
“Connectivity is very important to us,” Knapp said. “We want to connect with every customer that walks through our doors.”
He stressed that with an overarching vision of helping clients create the outdoor or indoor living spaces of their dreams, the connection must be “at the human level, not the sales level.” “We want to engage people in a discussion about the product they are looking for and what they hope to achieve.”
Knapp explained that background information about the client’s plans allowed the Wickertree team to make recommendations based on their experience and knowledge of the various product lines. “Exploring options together usually means everyone will be happier in the end.”
If the job is done well, customers will have a seamless experience and feel connected to The Wickertree.
Numerous online videos and customer testimonials show the approach works, Knapp says, with additional evidence supporting the “customer satisfaction” claim. “Before I became CEO, my job was handling complaints and returns. However, I had to spend very little time on this because we had very few complaints and we did not return anything.”
While the team’s efforts to help customers find the best option is part of that success, there’s another key factor: strong partnerships with “good suppliers,” Knapp said, adding that many relationships with reliable suppliers have been established over time. has been with Langley since 1976 and has been owned by the Knapp family for about 16 years.
“Quality is very important to us,” he said. “Everything we sell, every product – be it furniture or accessories – is of high quality.”
Wickertree’s motto of choosing quality over quantity is also reflected in the number of suppliers that are reviewed not only for how their products perform, but also for whether suppliers’ sustainability and ethics are part of their value proposition.
While this requires due diligence and looking into the vendor’s reputation, the effort is well worth it, Knapp said. “We have a lot of trust in our suppliers and we know how good our products are. We just don’t offer anything that will disappoint customers shortly after they’ve bought it.”
If something goes wrong, good guarantees and strong relationships with suppliers will help resolve problems in a timely manner, he added. “We have many loyal customers who keep coming and telling us they love our products and services. We’ve worked hard to build a reputation for quality and if our approach wasn’t sincere, I don’t think we it would be following reputation and trust.”
“Wickertree has been working with VGH, UBC and the BC Children’s Hospital Lottery for over a decade to provide open spaces for participating families,” Knapp said. “We are very proud of this connection and this is another area where you can see our work in a real setting.”
As people are spending more time at home due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on work and travel, Knapp observed that “People are more willing to invest in their homes, whether it be renovations, upgrades or improvements.”
He hopes Wickertree will be part of such initiatives and encourages Wickertree customers to: “When you sit with friends and family in your beautiful new space, think of us. spread our message.
“We want to continue to grow and reach more people because our approach is really positive and resonates widely.”
