Summer is officially upon us, and there are plenty of heat waves!If you have air conditioning, you may be hiding indoors during the hottest part of the day, but once the sun goes down, all bets are off.Kettal’s newest outdoor home provides the ideal haven for those evenings spent on the patio or balcony.Plumon, designed by Patricia Urquiola, was inspired by the concept of clothing – dressing and undressing furniture.
The new collection is characterised by generous, spacious proportions, with Urquiola drawing inspiration from Brazilian influences.Plumon is a lightweight construction that is basically outfitted with a custom padded “dress”.Ribbed padding is “moored” to the frame, then features meticulous stitching.The tailoring of sofas and armchairs creates a comfortable and beautiful space that looks indoors but is designed for the outdoors.Plumon’s coffee table and side table, with a base that resembles a knitted sock being pulled up.They all have glass tops and are available in white and pink.
